Ensure jacket is correct size for
hot water tank to be insulated. Remove and carefully dispose of
outer polythene packaging. Take each panel in turn and carefully
remove adhesive tape. Unroll and shake lightly to allow the
insulation to expand. It is recommended that the panels are left
approximately 1 hour to recover their thickness prior to fixing.
Place panels evenly around the cylinder ensuring eyelet end is at
the top. Thread the cord through each section and pull ends
together thus fully covering dome of cylinder. Ensure eyelets are
not over stressed and tie the cord ends together. Check that the
insulation is as close as possible to the outlet pipe. Note that
at this point the panel corners will overlap the dome.
Fold the top corner of each panel
under itself so as to form a point. This will give a double
thickness of insulation where the heat loss is greatest.
IMPORTANT: Do not cover the
immersion heater head unless specific instruction on the
thermostat allows this.
Secure the insulation panels with
the long tapes provided they are evenly spaced.
Do not over-tighten as this may
reduce the effectiveness of the jacket. Pull each segment down
from the bottom so that they form an even cover over the whole
cylinder.
Give an overall final visual
inspection. |
