Technical Details
  • The insulation consists of natural glass wool which is CFC free and will not rot or degrade in use. It is lightweight, resilient and non-combustible and provides excellent thermal insulation.
  • The material complies with the requirements of BS476: Part 4 and BS5803: Part 1. It is nominal thickness of 40mm with density of 10 kg/m³, and a thermal resistance of 1.4 m² k/w.
  • The outer sleeve is made from black polythene with a minimum thickness of 60 microns.
  • The jacket is supplied complete with heavy duty fixing tapes.
Fitting Details
  • Unroll panel and shake lightly to allow the glass-fibre to expand.
  • Place the lid panel on top of the tank lid allowing flanges to hang down sides. If the lid must be cut to accommodate pipes then they must be taped in order to minimise risk of water contamination.
  • Wrap main panel around tank, ensuring there are no gaps and tuck in tightly around lid pipes.
  • Secure with tie wraps provided. Do not over-tighten as this will reduce the effectiveness of the insulation.
  • Give final overall inspection to ensure even coverage.
