Technical Details
  • Conform to B.S. 476: Pt 31, Section 31.1 for cold smoke seals.
  • The seal is made from high quality ethylene propylene diene modified rubber. The seal will resist the elements between -40°C to +120°C without shrinking, cracking or perishing. It has excellent resistance to ageing, UV and ozone.
  • The carrier is extruded from impact resistant PVCu. Smooth design lines and a linear groove give it an appealing, easy clean finish. Extra pins can be driven straight through the carrier where required.
Fitting Details
The seal fits on the outside of the door frame, to the head and both sides. Measure and then cut to length the piece to fit the head of the frame to give a neat butt corner for boxed carriers, and notched for angled. Offer up to the door ensuring approximately 3mm compression is present along the entire length the seal before the pins are driven home into the frame.

Measure then cut to length the two upright pieces and fit to the door frame in the same manner as above. The carrier should be double pinned at the bottom of the door frame.
