Technical Details |
- Conform to B.S. 476: Pt 31, Section 31.1 for
cold smoke seals.
- The seal is made from low
density, closed cell cross linked foam chemically bonded to a
TPE skin. Profile offers very low closing forces for ease of
operation, and closed cell nature of foam has very high
resistance to water penetration. Features high resistance to
compression set and ability to span large gaps due to seasonal
movement.
- The carrier is extruded from
impact resistant PVCu. Smooth design lines and a linear groove
give it an appealing, easy clean finish. Extra pins can be driven straight through the carrier
where required.
|
|
Maintenance and Use |
- The seal requires no regular maintenance
other than periodic cleaning with a damp cloth and household
detergents.
- Flexible seal cannot be over painted if
accidentally splashed the paint should be immediately removed
with damp cloth.

|
The seal fits on the outside of the
door frame, to the head and both sides. Measure and then cut to
length the piece to fit the head of the frame to give a neat butt
corner for boxed carriers, and notched for angled. Offer up to the door
ensuring approximately 3mm compression is present along the entire
length the seal before the pins are driven home into the frame.
Measure then cut to length the two
upright pieces and fit to the door frame in the same manner as
above. The carrier should be double pinned at the bottom of the
door frame.
