Technical Details |
- The seal is a woven
polypropylene fibre which is sewn into a tough, stable strip. It
has double integral weatherfin for increased sealing efficiency.
The silicone treatment provides low sliding forces and resists
water, mildew and corrosion.
- The carrier is extruded from
impact resistant UPVC. Smooth design lines
give an appealing, easy clean finish.
- The polypropylene pile is
mechanically fixed to the carrier in a continuous line to ensure
it is securely retained when the product is cut.
|
|
Maintenance and Use |
- Pile seal requires no maintenance other than
periodic cleaning with a damp cloth and household detergents.
- Pile cannot be over painted. Paint splashes
must be immediately removed with a damp cloth.

Fitting Details |
|
The seal fits on the inside of the
window frame. Open the window and work from the inside. Starting
with the top and bottom edges, measure length, cut and fit then
check window operation. If it does not easily open and close check
for obstructions. On corner adjacent to hinge it may be necessary
to remove a short portion of the inside leg for clearance. Check
window operation. All corner joints should be mitred. For a more
permanent fixing, secure clip-on seal with total seal clear
silicone adhesive (part no 61608) by applying a small bead into
the seal jaws prior to fitment. |
